Meet us in the central Piazza della Reppublica of Firenze, where we'll kick off our guided walking tour of Florence focusing on the historically influential Medici family.

Our knowledgeable guide will set the scene as we explore a city inhabited since prehistoric times, discussing its evolution as a center for Etruscan culture. Our first stop is Piazza della Signoria, adjacent to Palazzo Vecchio, examples of Medici architecture.

Next, we'll visit the Duomo, Florence's Cathedral, comprising a three-part complex: the Baptistry and Giotto's Campanile. These structures, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, were constructed with the support of Cosimo Medici. Our guide will highlight the significance of the gold-paneled "Gates of Paradise."

We will then proceed to Orsanmichele, a church initially serving as a grain market, which later became a worship place for powerful craft and trade guilds. Following this, we'll continue to Santa Trinita Church, known for the Column of Justice, gifted to Cosimo de Medici by Pope Pius IV.

After 1.5 hours of exploration into the rich history of Florence, we will conclude the tour.
