Set off on a day trip from Florence to explore Siena, visit Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, and enjoy a wine tasting in the Chianti region.

San Gimignano, Siena & Chianti Day Trip

The tour departs from Florence to visit significant Tuscan towns. First, we visit Monteriggioni, known for its intact walls and towers.

In Siena, you will have a guided tour highlighting Gothic architecture and key sites including the Palazzo Pubblico, Piazza del Duomo, and the cathedral. Following a 1-hour tour, you will have time for lunch and personal exploration.

Next, we head to San Gimignano, a historic walled town recognized as the “Town of Fine Towers”, with a stop of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. This town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990, is known for its 14 preserved towers that showcase the competition of wealthy families in medieval times.

The tour continues to the Chianti region, famous for its vineyards and wine production. Here, we will visit a local vineyard for a tasting of wines, charcuterie, and oils.

The tour concludes in Florence after approximately 10.5 to 11 hours from departure.
