Tour Details

We will meet at the Café Bar do Largo d'Alfândega to begin the free tour around Florianópolis. The tour will cover the historic center, known as Floripa, revealing the secrets of key monuments and buildings.

Participants will learn about the first inhabitants of the island of Santa Catarina and the indigenous tribes that founded Florianópolis, going back to the 17th century with the arrival of Portuguese colonisers and African slaves.

We will visit the Cruz e Sousa Palace, the former State Government headquarters, and the November 15th Square, known for their beauty.

The tour continues at Largo da Alfândega and the Public Market, with a stop at the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Homens Pretos Church and the Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre, a significant monument in the city.

Before concluding, we will walk down Hercílio Luz Avenue to visit Santa Bárbara Fort, essential for understanding Florianópolis.
