Saint-Pierre & Sacré Coeur Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet on Avenue Loulou Boislaville in Fort-de-France, where we'll board a minibus to explore the Saint-Pierre region of north-west Martinique.
During the tour, we'll visit notable places of scenic and historical interest and taste typical products of Martinique, including banana wine, coconut punch, cherry juice, and guava pâté.
Before leaving Fort-de-France, we'll visit the Sacré Coeur Church, an early 20th-century church modeled after a significant religious monument in Paris.
Next, we'll travel through the tropical forests of Saint-Pierre for a short hike to the waterfall of Fonds-Saint-Denis, a spectacular natural attraction.
We will also explore the ruins of the ancient city of Saint-Pierre, destroyed by the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902, one of the most destructive volcanoes in the world.
To conclude, we will visit a distillery to learn about rum production and partake in a tasting before heading to Carbet Beach for 20 minutes of free time to swim.
The tour concludes at 1:30 pm after 4.5 hours of activity, returning to the starting point.
