Spend the day surrounded by Costa Rica's wild nature, visiting the La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano, and its hot springs.

Arenal Volcano & La Fortuna Waterfall Tour

Pickup will be from your hotel in Arenal at the arranged time. We will head to the La Fortuna Waterfall, which is only accessible by foot, involving an approximately eight-kilometre hike through Arenal Volcano National Park. The first stretch follows the La Fortuna River before boarding a vehicle to a viewpoint for scenic views of the Costa Rican landscape.

The hike continues with about 500 steps to reach the La Fortuna Waterfall, over 70 metres high, where you can take a dip in its pool.

After the waterfall, a 20-minute walk leads to the Maluku indigenous community to learn about their customs and visit a Palenke (main house). Lunch will be at a local restaurant about 10 minutes from the village.

Post-lunch, another hike will take us to the Arenal Volcano, through a forest rich in wildlife. At the volcano's highest point, enjoy the opportunity to take photographs of the area.

We will conclude the tour with a visit to the Arenal hot springs for a relaxing soak along with snack and drink options. We plan to return to the hotels in Arenal by around 7 pm.

Important Information

This tour includes several hikes, so participants should be in good physical condition. Comfortable footwear and clothing are recommended.
