Discover the turquoise waters of one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica with this wonderful hiking trip along the Celeste River in the Tenorio Volcano National Park.

Celeste River Hiking Trip

Pick-up will be at 7:30 am at your hotel, followed by a journey to the Tenorio Volcano National Park, located 2600 feet high, a 1.5-hour trip from La Fortuna.

We will trek a 4-mile route through dense forests to reach the Celeste Waterfall, an ideal location for photos. Next, we will visit the Blue Lagoon, where bathing is not permitted, but the viewpoint allows for admiration of the river's beauty.

At the end of the trail, we will see Los Teñideros, the site where the river's turquoise color originates. Following this, we will continue along the river before stopping for lunch. After lunch, we will return to our hotels in La Fortuna around 4:30 pm.
