Fortuna River Waterfall Excursion
We'll pick you up at your hotel in La Fortuna at the indicated time to begin our excursion. After about a five-minute drive, we'll arrive at the Fortuna River Waterfall Reserve, where we'll embark on a three-hour hike.
This reserve, located in a natural area managed by the Integral Development Association of La Fortuna, aims to raise funds for local community investment. The tropical forest that houses the Fortuna River Waterfall is part of the Arenal Volcano National Park and spans 210 acres.
Upon arrival at the reserve, we will visit the viewpoint for photographs before descending a path consisting of about 500 steps leading to the base of the Fortuna River Waterfall. There may be opportunities to observe native wildlife such as toucans, oropendolas, and butterflies.
From the base, we can admire the 230-foot drop and enjoy a swim in the clear waters sourced from the Children's Eternal Rainforest. Remember to bring your swimsuit!
After swimming, we will ascend the path to the top, where a snack of fresh fruit will be provided. We will conclude the excursion by returning you to your hotel in La Fortuna.
