The adventure begins at 9:30 am when we convene at the Frascati train station. From there, we’ll set off by car towards our first stop, Castel Gandolfo, located just 20 minutes away.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of this charming town, taking in the exterior of the Pope's summer residence. An interesting fact: Alexander VII was the first bishop of Rome to vacation in the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo. During our visit, we will share insights about the notable Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini and his contributions to this historic site.

Continuing our journey, we will follow the scenic route along Lake Albano until we reach Nemi, one of the tiniest villages in the Castelli Romani region, renowned for stunning views of the surrounding hills. Our next destination is Rocca di Papa, where you can admire the facade of its 12th-century castle and discover the story behind its reputation as the town that withstood World War II.

The final destination of our day will be in Frascati. We will wander through its historic center and visit a local winery to sample its renowned white wine, paired with a traditional Italian aperitif. As we indulge in these flavors, we will discuss how the volcanic soils of the region contribute to cultivating grapevines and the unique characteristics that enhance the local wine.

After the tasting experience, we will conclude our tour back at the initial meeting point at 12:30 pm.
