We'll assemble at the entrance of the Heras Cordón Winery to kick off our exploration.

The journey begins with a guided walkthrough of the vineyard facilities, which have their roots dating back to the 1800s. It was during this period that initial excavation efforts commenced, marking the onset of modest wine production aimed at fulfilling the needs of local families residing in the Rioja Alavesa region.

The winery experienced significant growth over the decades, successfully navigating considerable challenges including the Civil War, ultimately achieving a notable commercial and industrial growth by the late 20th century. In the 1990s, a series of renovations and constructions took place to shape the winery as we know it today.

We will explore its contemporary facilities alongside a knowledgeable winemaker who will elaborate on the wine production process, unique characteristics of each grape variety, and the optimal tasting methods.

Throughout the tour, you will also encounter remnants from the winery's early days, including vintage barrels, lengthy stone passageways, and an impressive doorway salvaged from a dilapidated cloistered monastery in Segovia, carefully restored to warmly welcome all visitors.

As we conclude the winery tour, it will be time to indulge in a wine tasting session. We'll savor exquisite regional wines under the guidance of our oenologist, complemented by local delicacies like artisanal cheeses and homemade sausages. Cheers!

The first course will be paired with a Heras Cordón red wine from the 2015 vintage. The delicious meats of the second course will be served alongside a 2012 reserve Heras Cordón red wine.
