Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour
At the established time, we'll meet up at the train station to set off on this sightseeing tour of Nagasaki.
The first stop of the day will be at Nagasaki Peace Park. Upon arrival, we'll check out the huge bronze statue that symbolizes the love and mercy of Buddha in honor of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on the city on August 9, 1945.
From here, we'll head over to Glover Gardens, where we'll admire the European-style buildings constructed in the city during the Meiji period. As we stroll, we'll learn about the history of Nagasaki and its mix of cultures.
Another history highlight is the Atomic Bomb Museum. We'll commemorate the tragic event and learn about the efforts to create a world free of nuclear weapons.
Finally, we'll visit the Megane Bashi or "spectacles bridge", a stone bridge built during the 17th century crossing the Nakashima River.
The tour will conclude back at the starting point after four hours of sightseeing.
