Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour
We will meet at the train station at the established time to begin our sightseeing tour of Nagasaki.
The first stop will be Nagasaki Peace Park, where we will view a large bronze statue that honors the atomic bomb victims from August 9, 1945.
Next, we will proceed to Glover Gardens, admiring European-style buildings from the Meiji period while learning about Nagasaki's rich history and cultural mix, particularly its status as the only port open to foreigners during Japan's closure.
We will then visit the Atomic Bomb Museum to understand how Nagasaki rebuilt itself and to reflect on the pursuit of a nuclear-free world.
Finally, we will see the Megane Bashi or "spectacles bridge", a 17th-century stone bridge over the Nakashima River.
The tour will conclude back at the starting point after four hours of sightseeing.
