Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour
At the established time, we'll meet at the train station to set off on this sightseeing tour of Nagasaki. The first stop will be at Nagasaki Peace Park, where we will visit the bronze statue that symbolizes love and mercy in honor of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on the city on August 9, 1945.
Next, we'll proceed to Glover Gardens, where we will admire the European-style buildings from the Meiji period. While strolling through this space, we will learn about the history of Nagasaki and its mix of cultures, being the only port open to foreigners during Japan’s closure.
We will then visit the Atomic Bomb Museum to understand how Nagasaki rebuilt itself after the chaos and learn about the efforts to create a world free of nuclear weapons.
The tour will conclude with a visit to the Megane Bashi, or "spectacles bridge," one of the 17th-century stone bridges crossing the Nakashima River. The tour will last for four hours, ending back at the starting point.
