Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour
At the designated hour, we will convene at the train station to commence this engaging tour of Nagasaki. Are you ready to discover the remarkable stories this intriguing Japanese city holds? Let's begin!
Our journey will first take us to Nagasaki Peace Park. Upon arrival, marvel at the impressive bronze statue that towers over the area, representing the compassion and mercy of Buddha, dedicated to honoring the lives lost in the atomic bombing on August 9, 1945.
Next, we will make our way to Glover Gardens, where the elegant European-style structures built during the Meiji era await us. As we meander through this picturesque environment, we’ll uncover the rich history of Nagasaki and its diverse cultural influences. Interestingly, it was the only port open to international trade during Japan's extensive period of isolation.
The next insightful stop is the Atomic Bomb Museum. Here, we will reflect on the city’s remarkable resilience following the devastation and learn about the ongoing efforts to advocate for a nuclear-free world.
Our final destination will be the Megane Bashi, or "spectacles bridge", a historic stone bridge dating back to the 17th century that spans the beautiful Nakashima River.
After four enriching hours of exploration, we will return to the starting point, concluding our profound sightseeing experience.
