Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour
Join us on a sightseeing tour of Nagasaki to explore the city that played a crucial role in World War II. We will visit the Atomic Bomb Museum, Glover Gardens, and Peace Park.
At the established time, we will meet at the train station to start this tour of Nagasaki.
The first stop will be at Nagasaki Peace Park, where we will see the bronze statue that symbolizes love and mercy in honor of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on the city on August 9, 1945.
Next, we will go to Glover Gardens to observe the European-style buildings from the Meiji period. As we walk through this area, we will learn about the history of Nagasaki and its cultural mix. It was the only port open to foreigners during Japan's period of isolation.
We will also visit the Atomic Bomb Museum, where we will reflect on how Nagasaki rebuilt itself and learn about efforts for a nuclear-free world.
Finally, we will see the Megane Bashi, or "spectacles bridge," a 17th-century stone bridge that spans the Nakashima River.
The tour will conclude back at the starting point after four hours of sightseeing.
