Desertas Islands Schooner Cruise

At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to board the schooner for the Desertas Islands. These islands, Bugio, Deserta Grande, and Chão Island, form an essential reserve of Madeira's subtropical flora and marine biodiversity. Enjoy views of coloured rocks, steep cliffs, and crystal clear water beaches during the cruise.

Sailing across the Atlantic, we'll appreciate the silhouette of Madeira while departing from Funchal. A delicious hot meal will be served on board to recharge before visiting the main island.

We'll disembark at Deserta Grande to explore its volcanic formations and rugged landscape, notable for being a sanctuary for sea birds, including monk seals.

During the excursion, participants can swim in the waters and, sea conditions permitting, practice snorkelling to witness the diversity of marine life. After exploring the beaches and cliffs of Deserta Grande, we'll return to the schooner and head back to Funchal.
