Half-Day Trip Details

This is the island of eternal spring, with high mountains rising up from the deep blue ocean. Lava from the ancient craters shaped the natural pools that today feed the aqueducts which filter rainwater.

We'll enjoy all this and much more on our tour of the green northwestern region of Madeira. Are you ready to get lost in the indigenous forests?

After collecting you, we'll head to the Serra de Água, a breathtaking steep valley flanked by impressive mountains where you can enjoy the contrasting views of the peaks and the immense plateau that characterizes the island.

We continue our journey to the first terrace – Encumeada. There we will head deep into the immense laurisilva forest and enjoy the ocean views from high up. You'll feel the rush of adrenaline as we follow the ancient forest tracks, before arriving at Ginjas, our next stop.

Long trails will guide us through the tropical jungle and the sound of the birds, which becomes very striking in Paul da Serra, will make you feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.

In Fanal, we'll continue enjoying the ethereal dance of the waterfalls just before they merge into the sea. In Porto Moniz, we'll see the lava remains which have created the most beautiful pools in the world.

You'll get goosebumps when you realize that it's the remains of a volcano that today separate the great Atlantic Ocean from calm salt pools.

After a complete day, we'll begin the return journey and drop you off at the same pickup points.

Supplements are paid directly to the driver on the day of the excursion.
