Hike Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Funchal and travel west.

After a 1-hour drive, we'll reach the Levado do Moinho hiking trail, known for the many water mills in the area and its significance as a renowned sugarcane production centre requiring extensive irrigation.

The hike is a 3-hour, medium-difficult trek through different agricultural landscapes. Participants will learn about the native fauna and flora of this ecosystem.

We'll enjoy a series of waterfalls and small streams that enhance the experience. Discussions will include anecdotes about this Ponta do Sol municipality on Madeira's southern coast.

After completing the hike, we will return to the starting point and drive back to Funchal, with hotel drop-off estimated around 4-5.5 hours after pickup.
