North Madeira Island Tour

With this tour you'll visit Ponta Delgada, Arco de São Jorge, and São Vicente, three renowned locations in the north of Madeira.

At 9 am, pickups will commence from hotels in Madeira, initiating the trip to the northernmost region of the island.

The tour begins in the city of São Vicente, noted for its volcanic caves, located at the mouth of the Ribeira Grande.

The next destination is the village of Ponta Delgada, where the Senhor Bom Jesus Church, originating from the 15th century, will be visited. Following this, there will be two hours of free time for lunch in the rural village of Arco de São Jorge.

After lunch, the tour continues to Cabanas de São Jorge for views of the northern coast of Madeira. The itinerary includes a visit to a sugar mill in Porto da Cruz, in operation since 1927.

The tour proceeds to the Pico do Facho viewpoint for panoramic views of Machico and the Ponta de São Lourenço. The final stop is Santa Cruz, one of the island's oldest villages.

Concluding at 5 pm, participants will be dropped off at their hotels in Madeira.
