Nuns Valley Excursion
Participants will be picked up from their hotel in Funchal. The excursion begins with a brief stop at the Picos dos Barcelos viewpoint to enjoy panoramic city views.
The journey proceeds to Curral das Freiras, a village in the Nuns' Valley, named after the nuns who sought refuge there from a pirate attack in 1566. The surrounding rugged peaks offer a striking backdrop.
The next stop is the Eira do Serrado viewpoint, where participants will have a 30-minute break to appreciate the exceptional views of the valley, featuring lush hills and the picturesque houses of Curral das Freiras.
After taking in the sights, the group will return to Curral das Freiras for a minibus ride back to Funchal, concluding the tour in approximately 4 hours.
