Make the most of your time on Madeira Island, enjoying the unique experience of swimming with dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean.

Activity Details

At the agreed time, we'll meet at Do Mar Avenue to begin our experience: swimming with dolphins off the coast of Madeira. We will start by boarding a boat that will take us to a location known for the presence of dolphins. As we sail on the Atlantic Ocean, the guide will inform us about the marine mammals in the region.

Once we reach the ideal spot, we will stop the engine and wait for the dolphins to approach the boat. It will then be time to swim with them! In small groups, we will enter the water holding onto a rope attached to the boat, equipped with snorkeling gear provided by us. Safely treading water, we'll enjoy the experience of swimming alongside friendly dolphins. After the excursion, we will return to the original meeting point, concluding the activity 2 hours later.

Dolphin Sightings

Madeira Island has a favorable natural environment for swimming with dolphins and other marine animals. However, sightings depend on factors such as weather, sea currents, wind direction, or breeding seasons. We cannot guarantee that every experience will occur in the open sea; in 90% of cases, swimming with these species does take place.
