Make the most of your time on Madeira Island, enjoying a unique experience of swimming with dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean.

Activity Details

At the agreed time, we'll meet at Do Mar Avenue to begin our experience of swimming with dolphins off the coast of Madeira. We will board a boat that will take us to one of the spots known for large numbers of dolphins. As we sail on the Atlantic Ocean, the guide will provide information about the marine mammals in the waters around the Portuguese island.

Once we reach the ideal location, we will stop the engine and wait for the dolphins to appear. In small groups, we will enter the water holding a rope attached to the boat, equipped with snorkeling gear provided for us. Safely treading water, we'll enjoy an experience of swimming alongside dolphins. After the excursion, we will return to the original meeting point, concluding the activity 2 hours later.

Dolphin Sightings

Madeira Island's natural environment allows for swimming with dolphins and other marine animals, but sightings can be unpredictable. The number of dolphins observed will depend on weather conditions, sea currents, wind direction, and breeding seasons of various species. To protect their habitat, we cannot guarantee that every swimming experience will occur in open sea, though in 90% of cases, it does.
