Fúquene Hiking & Boat Tour

This tour includes a boat ride on Fúquene lagoon and a hiking route along the old Fúquene railway tracks. The experience starts at 9 am at the lagoon's port, where we board a boat for a 1.5-hour ride on the lake located over 2,400 meters above sea level.

During the boat trip, we pass by the island of El Santuario, known for its Muisca temples and legends. The area is home to various bird species like blackbirds and American coots.

After the boat ride, a 1.5-hour hike commences along the railway tracks, including a visit to a tunnel and insights on endemic plants. The tour concludes with a traditional vegetable and rice dish, followed by a reed basket-making workshop.

The activity wraps up by 3 pm back at the starting point.
