Discover the art of kayaking on the Espolón River, a captivating waterway situated in the heart of Chilean Patagonia’s Los Lagos Region – a truly memorable adventure!

Kayaking Session on the Espolón River

We will commence our journey from Futaleufú at 10 am, heading towards the shores of the Espolón River (the specific site may change based on prevailing weather).

Upon arrival, we will provide a concise training on kayak handling. You will find that mastering this skill is more accessible than it appears; all that is needed is to grasp essential principles regarding paddling posture along with key techniques to enhance your kayaking experience.

Following the theoretical instruction, we will engage in the practical segment, which consists of navigating nearly 4 miles (6 km) along the Espolón River. This class II route offers an excellent opportunity to learn how to maneuver through the river’s rapids while kayaking. You'll acquire a fundamental technique known as the Eskimo turn, introduced during the excursion.

The kayaking journey on the Espolón River spans 3 hours. Concluding our time on the water, we will return to shore for a snack featuring a variety of local delicacies.

We will wrap up the day and head back to Futaleufú by 3 pm.

Pickup Information

This experience includes pickup from any hotel within the urban area of Futaleufú. Should you be accommodated in more secluded locations, we will arrange to collect you at 348 Sargento Aldea Street.
