Learn how to kayak on the Espolón River, which runs through the heart of the Los Lagos Region in Chilean Patagonia – a unique experience!

Kayaking Class on Espolón River

At 10 am, we'll leave Futaleufú for the banks of the Espolón River, with the exact location subject to weather conditions.

Upon arrival, we'll provide a brief training session on kayak handling. You'll learn basic concepts related to paddling posture and essential techniques required for this sport.

Following the theoretical class, we will proceed to the practical phase, where you will paddle almost 4 miles (6 km) on an easy class II route. This experience includes navigating the river's rapids while practicing the kayak handling technique known as the Eskimo turn.

The kayaking route will last for 3 hours. After the practical session, we will return to shore for a snack featuring local products.

Finally, we will return to Futaleufú at 3 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in the urban area of Futaleufú. Guests in remote locations will be picked up at 348 Sargento Aldea Street.
