Kayaking on Espolón Lake

Kayak on the beautiful Espolón Lake and enjoy the wonderful natural landscapes of Chilean Patagonia. You'll also learn about the great variety of fauna and flora of this area at the foot of the Andes.

Kayaking on Espolón Lake

At 9:30 am, we'll depart from Futaleufú towards Espolón Lake: one of the most beautiful lakes in this area of Chilean Patagonia.

Once there, we'll embark on a kayak route through this area. Throughout this 3.5-hour tour, we'll see the coihue forests surrounding the lake and the yellow retamos and red notros, typical plants of the area, against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains. We may encounter some local wildlife, such as kingfishers, wild ducks, and endemic birds called cauquenes.

During the tour, we'll stop to meet the villagers living by the lake and tour their orchards and farms. A picnic lunch on a beach, featuring local specialties, will also be included.

After lunch, we'll paddle back to the starting point of the kayak route and return to Futaleufú, with an expected arrival at 3:30 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels located in the center of Futaleufú and around Espolón Lake. If you're staying in other areas, we'll pick you up at 348 Sargento Aldea Street.
