Kayaking on Espolón Lake

Kayak on the beautiful Espolón Lake and enjoy the wonderful natural landscapes of Chilean Patagonia. You'll also learn about the great variety of fauna and flora of this area at the foot of the Andes.

Kayaking on Espolón Lake

At 9:30 am, we'll depart from Futaleufú towards Espolón Lake. Once there, we'll embark on a kayak route through this natural area. Throughout this 3.5-hour tour, we'll observe the coihue forests that surround the lake and the yellow retamos and red notros – characteristic plants of the area – set against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains. We might see local wildlife, such as kingfishers, wild ducks, and endemic birds called cauquenes.

During the tour, we'll stop to meet the villagers living on the shores of Espolón Lake and tour their orchards and farms. We will also enjoy a picnic lunch on a beach of the river, featuring a selection of local specialties. After regaining our strength, we'll paddle back to the starting point and return to Futaleufú, with an arrival time scheduled for 3:30 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels located in the center of Futaleufú and around Espolón Lake. For those staying in other areas, pickup will be at 348 Sargento Aldea Street.
