El Garrapatero Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to El Garrapatero, one of the top beaches on Santa Cruz Island.

After 40 minutes, we will arrive. This beach features nearly 2 miles (3 kilometers) of golden sand, ideal for relaxing while listening to the sound of the waves. You may see sea lions and blue-footed boobies, as your guide shares interesting facts about them.

We will follow a path through the mangroves to a brackish pool where large flamingos forage for crustaceans, likely along with herons, stilts, and oystercatchers.

A light lunch, consisting of a sandwich, fruit, and a soft drink, will be provided during our break.

After lunch, we'll continue along the shore, learning about the local flora, fauna, and history, including the meaning of the name of this site, which refers to the termination of insects.

After 5 hours of exploring the beach's wildlife, we will return you to your hotel and conclude the trip at 1 pm.
