Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Cruz Island and drive to El Garrapatero. After 40 minutes on the road, we'll reach our destination. This beach boasts almost 2 miles (3 kilometres) of golden sand, ideal for sunbathing and relaxing while listening to the waves. You'll observe sea lions and blue-footed boobies as your guide shares fun facts about them.

We will follow a path through the mangroves to a brackish pool, where we’ll see large flamingos foraging for crustaceans along with wading birds such as herons, stilts, and oystercatchers.

Next, we'll have a light lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, and a soft drink. After lunch, we will continue walking along the shore, discussing the local area's flora, fauna, and history, including the significance of the area's name ("tick" in Spanish). Finally, we'll return to your hotel after a total of 5 hours.
