At the scheduled time, you have the option of being collected from your accommodation on Santa Cruz Island or gathering at San Francisco Park in Puerto Ayora. From this meeting point, a short drive will take us to the vibrant town of Guayabillos.
After a brief 15-minute ride, we will enter the lush jungles that define the interior landscape of the island. Our biking expedition will commence as we head towards the reserve, cycling across 9 miles (14 kilometers) enveloped by vibrant vegetation for the next hour.
During our journey, we will explore the rich flora unique to this region. Our cycling route will lead us to a special area where the renowned giant Galápagos tortoises reside—can you guess the weight of an adult tortoise? Along the way, we'll uncover this mystery and many other intriguing facts about these remarkable creatures.
We will pause to take in the remarkable lava tunnels and delve into the geological wonders of the Galápagos. A delightful snack will be provided before we retrace our path back to the starting point of our biking adventure. On our return journey, we’ll stop at the picturesque Nymphs Lagoon, allowing time for relaxation and capturing memorable photographs.
Finally, we will make our way back to your hotel on Santa Cruz Island, concluding this exciting 4-5 hour experience with warm farewells!
