Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island. Once the group is together, we’ll take a 45-minute bus ride to the Itabaca Channel, where we’ll board a boat bound for South Plaza Island.
Upon arrival, we might be greeted by several families of sea lions. We’ll carefully disembark to begin a hike across the island, where you can spot iguanas resting in the shade of the cacti.
Continuing along the trail, we’ll reach a cliffside where we can observe a school of yellowtail damselfish, an endemic species. This spot is also perfect for sighting swallow-tailed gulls, tropicbirds, and pelicans.
Afterward, we’ll head back to the boat to recharge with a lunch featuring salad, meat or fish, and rice or potatoes. With your energy back up, we’ll move on to Punta Carrión, a small bay where you can go snorkeling to discover the vibrant marine life of the Galápagos.
Finally, after eight hours of enjoying the charms of this paradise, we’ll head back to the starting point to say our goodbyes.
