Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island. After preparation, we'll take a bus for a 45-minute ride to the Itabaca Channel, where we'll board a boat to South Plaza Island.
Upon arrival, we may be greeted by several families of sea lions at the island's dock. We'll disembark and walk around the island to observe blue-footed boobies and iguanas resting under the shade of cacti. We can spot several hybrid iguanas.
Next, we'll move to Punta Carrión, a small bay for snorkeling to explore marine life. We'll stop for lunch consisting of salad, meat or fish, and rice or potatoes.
Continuing along our route, we'll reach a cliff to see the reddish vegetation that covers the rocks, offering a panoramic view. On the return to the dock, we'll visit a beach home to one of the largest colonies of sea lions in the Galapagos Islands. After 8 hours of exploration, we'll conclude our trip at the starting point.
