Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island. Once ready, we'll take a 45-minute bus ride to the Itabaca Channel, where we'll board a boat to South Plaza Island.
Upon arrival, we may be greeted by several families of sea lions at the island's dock. We'll disembark to walk around the island, observing blue-footed boobies and iguanas resting under cacti. We can spot hybrid iguanas, the result of marine iguanas mating with land iguanas.
Next, we'll visit Punta Carrión, a small bay for snorkeling to explore marine life. A lunch break will feature salad, meat or fish, and rice or potatoes.
Continuing, we'll reach a cliff with reddish vegetation covering the rocks, offering a panoramic view. On our return, we'll stop at a beach home to one of the largest colonies of sea lions in the Galapagos Islands. After 8 hours, we'll end the trip at the starting point.
