Description

We will pick you up at your hotel to start this trip to La Asunción and Macanao. First, we will visit La Asunción, touring its streets to see main attractions like Plaza Bolívar, Nueva Cádiz Museum, Cathedral of La Asunción, and Monseñor Nicolás Navarro Culture House.

Afterward, we will visit the Santa Rosa de la Eminencia Castle, a colonial fort offering views of the valley while we learn its history. Next, we will travel to the Macanao Peninsula, passing natural attractions, including Tetas de María Guevara. We will reach Laguna de la Restinga National Park, where we will board a boat to sail through the mangroves and observe local birds.

Following this, we’ll use 4x4 vehicles to explore the north of Macanao, visiting tropical beaches like Auyama and El Coco, along with an endemic vegetation landscape. We will then have a typical Margarita Island lunch at a restaurant on Punta Arena beach. After lunch, we’ll visit Boca Chica Lagoon and Fortín de la Galera for sunset views.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel, taking a total of 10 to 11 hours.
