La Asunción + Pampatar Tour

On this tour of La Asunción and Pampatar, we will explore the history of both cities in Nueva Esparta, including a boat ride around La Restinga and relaxation on Los Cocos Beach.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel and proceed to the capital of Nueva Esparta, La Asunción. A fully guided tour of the city will follow, with stops at notable sites such as Bolivar Square, the Nueva Cadiz Museum, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church, and the Casa de la Cultura Monseñor Nicolás Navarro.

Next, we will visit the Basílica del Valle to learn about handmade crafts on Isla Margarita and the significance of the Virgen del Valle. After visiting La Asunción, we will head to Pampatar to see San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and the Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel.

We will then visit the Punta Ballena Lighthouse for views of the Pampatar salt flats and enjoy a traditional dish at a local restaurant near Los Cocos Beach. After lunch, you will have free time at the beach before visiting La Galera Fort to experience the sunset. The total duration of the tour is 10-11 hours.

La Restinga Boat Ride

You can enhance your trip by booking the option that includes a boat ride around La Restinga Lake. After La Asunción, we will take you to the port to explore the mangroves in La Restinga and see its wildlife.

We will then proceed to Pampatar to visit the San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel before sailing to Punta Ballena Lighthouse, continuing with the standard itinerary from there.
