La Asunción + Pampatar Tour

On this tour of La Asunción and Pampatar, we will explore the history of both cities in Nuevo Esparta. You can also take a boat ride around La Restinga and relax on Los Cocos Beach.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the capital of the state of Nueva Esparta, La Asunción. A fully guided tour will take us to key locations, including Bolivar Square, the Nueva Cadiz Museum, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church, and Casa de la Cultura Monseñor Nicolás Navarro.

Next, we will visit the Basílica del Valle to learn about handmade crafts on Isla Margarita and the secrets of the Virgen del Valle. We will then proceed to Pampatar to see San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel.

Our final stops include Punta Ballena Lighthouse for views of the Pampatar salt flats and Los Cocos Beach, where you can enjoy a traditional dish at a local restaurant. After free time on the beach, we will visit La Galera Fort for a sunset before returning to your hotel after 10-11 hours.

La Restinga Boat Ride

If you wish to add a ride, we recommend the option for a boat ride around La Restinga Lake. After the La Asunción visit, we will go to the port for a boat tour through the mangroves of La Restinga. We will then continue to Pampatar as per the original itinerary.
