Garopaba Cachaça Tour

We'll pick you up at 2:30 pm at your hotel to start this cachaça tour of Garopaba. During the tour, we'll learn how this popular drink from Santa Catarina is derived from flour of cassava, also known as yuca or manioc.

Our first stop will be the artisanal distillery of Alambique do Vô Zeca, where we'll observe the cachaça production process and taste it. Next, we will explore the origins of this spirit at the archaeological site of Praia da Vigia.

Following this, we will visit the historic center of Garopaba to further learn about the history and production of cachaça. Additionally, we will visit the Armação Baleeira de São Joaquim de Garopaba, historically used for whaling.

The final stop will be at the home workshop of a local craftsman, where we will see instruments related to cachaça and other local industries.

After the workshop visit, we will return to your hotel in Garopaba, arriving by 6:30 pm.
