Laguna Excursion

At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Garopaba and drive south to Laguna, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

We will start the tour at the Santuário dos Botos, where we will observe a unique fishing technique involving dolphins and fishermen that only occurs in this area and Greece.

Afterward, we will visit the Anita Garibaldi Museum to learn about the influences of this famous Brazilian revolutionary and wife of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who played a significant role in the revolutionary processes of South America and Europe in the 19th century. A lunch stop at a restaurant on the Canal da Barra will follow, offering a typical regional dish with options of vegetarian, fish, chicken, or shrimp specialties.

Post-lunch, we'll explore the desert area of the Caminhantes Dunes and visit the Santa Marta Lighthouse, one of the largest lighthouses in the Americas. Nearby, we will see the sambaquis, ancient ceremonial sites where human remains and funerary items have been discovered.

After enjoying views of the Atlantic from the Santa Marta Lighthouse, we will return to your hotel in Garopaba, arriving at 5 pm.
