Discover Annecy, an essential trip for Alpine holidays, exploring one of the most beautiful cities in France, known as "the Venice of the Alps".

Itinerary

We will meet in the center of Geneva before departing by bus to Annecy, a medieval city in the French Alps.

After a journey of less than an hour, we arrive and commence our guided walking tour through the city’s alleys and canals that earned it the nickname "the Venice of the Alps".

During the 45-minute guided tour, you will learn about the history of Annecy, including its role in the counter-reformation as a base for the Catholic Church to counter Calvinist ideas from Geneva. We will see the city’s main monuments, including Annecy castle and the Palais de l'Isle, a fortified house that has served various purposes throughout history but now houses a museum.

You will have two hours of free time to explore Annecy at your leisure, enjoying its bridges, narrow streets, artisan boutiques, and canal-side cafes.

The tour concludes with a return to the central bus station in Geneva.
