Chamonix Tour
After meeting at the central bus station (Gare Routiere) in Geneva, we will head to Chamonix. After an hour and a half drive, we'll reach the French mountain town known for its significance in mountaineering and winter sports.
Shortly after arrival, you'll have 2 hours of free time to get to know Chamonix at your own pace. At noon, we will reconvene with the guide for a 40-minute guided tour.
During our walking tour through Chamonix, we will explore main attractions like Saint Michel’s Church and the statue of Jacques Balmat, the first mountaineer to summit Mount Blanc. The tour will provide insight into the history of Chamonix and its development as a key Alpine tourist destination in the 19th Century.
After the tour, you'll have free time to enjoy Chamonix at your leisure, including the streets of wooden houses, local alpine cuisine, and various shops in this renowned ski resort.
We will return to Geneva around 6:15 pm.
Type of Guide and Group Size
The guide is guaranteed for groups of 10 or more people. If this number is not met, the tour will proceed with a driver who will provide commentary.
