We'll meet at the designated time in front of the Tourist Information Office at the Old Port to begin this walking tour of medieval Genoa, exploring the city's past.
The tour will start next to the Embriaci Tower, a symbol of the ancient Genovese nobility. From there, we'll proceed to Campopisano, noted for its intriguing historical significance, and visit the Church of Santa Maria di Castello, exemplifying medieval architecture.
Next, we'll visit the Church of San Donato, a Romanesque gem in the carruggi, and the Porta Soprana, which showcases the city’s medieval defenses.
Our final stop will be the Sant'Agostino Museum, where we'll explore its triangular cloister, the adjoining church, and the remains of the mausoleum of Margaret of Brabant, created by the sculptor Giovanni Pisano.
This tour lasts 2.5 hours and concludes at the museum's exit.
