The Straits and Oriental Museum offers a multifaceted experience with a museum, art gallery, restaurant, café, bar, and gift shop. Visitors can view ancient ceramics retrieved from shipwrecks, including artifacts from wrecks such as the Wanli, Turiang, Royal Nanhai, Nanyang, Xuande, and Desaru.

Located within the St. Jo's building, formerly St. Joseph's Novitiate, the museum holds significance in Penang's heritage and features a chapel adorned with stained glass windows. This museum is recommended for its blend of cultural and historical treasures.
