Gernika Peace Museum Ticket
"Refuse to forget, refuse to seek revenge." This is the motto of the Gernika Peace Museum, where you'll learn about the history of this Basque town that faced the bombing by the German Condor Legion on April 26th, 1937. The museum promotes peace as a solution to conflicts, addressing issues such as peace in the 21st century, tools for peace, and negative peace, among others. The tour encourages reflection on the complexities of peace and war. With your ticket, you will uncover the accounts of survivors from the bombing and view a recreation of that tragic day in a Gernika family's dining room. Additionally, you'll contemplate the current global state of peace and the impact of Picasso's piece, Gernika, on human rights.
Opening Hours
The Gernika Peace Museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday to Monday from 10:30 am to 4 pm. Admission is free on Saturday afternoons.
