On this guided tour, we'll explore the historic center of Ghent, one of Northern Europe's most beautiful and dynamic cities.
Ghent Guided Tour
This guided walking tour of Ghent begins at the Belfry and lasts two hours.
We'll start with a visit to the Castle of Gerald the Devil, proceed to St. Bavon's Cathedral (famous for the Ghent Altarpiece, the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb), and admire the beautiful Belfry along with the Town Hall.
During the tour, we'll also explore some of the oldest monuments in the city, including St. Nicholas Church, the Masons' Guild Hall (built in the sixteenth century), the small medieval harbor (known as "The Pier of Herbs and Grains"), the Gravensteen Castle of Counts, the picturesque district of Patershol, Friday Market Square, and the meat and fish markets.
The tour concludes in the center of Ghent.

If you're traveling from Brussels, the best way to reach Ghent is by taking the train from the central station at 8:30 am. From the train station, you can catch tram number 1 towards Centrum to Kouter Square. Disembark at the Korte Meer stop.
