Cadaques & Cap de Creus Day Trip
After meeting up at 8:30 am in the Plaça de Sant Feliu in Girona, we'll head to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, located in the mountains of La Albera.
We'll explore this historic site of Catalan Romanesque architecture, discovering its church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, and the Abbot's palace. Our English-speaking guide will share insights about the monastery's history and architecture. Enjoy the views over the Gulf of Roses and the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
At around 11 am, we'll explore the wilderness of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. We'll visit Portlligat, enjoying views over the Costa Brava. Cap de Creus is part of an important protected area, featuring coastal towns such as Port de la Selva, Roses, and Cadaques.
Enjoy a half-hour walk through the park before traveling to Cadaques. Upon arriving in the picturesque town, you'll have one and a half hours for lunch in a local restaurant (not included). After lunch, we will reconvene for a guided tour of the historic centre of Cadaques.
Finally, we'll return to Girona at 6 pm.
