Cadaques & Cap de Creus Day Trip
After meeting at 8:30 am in the Plaça de Sant Feliu in Girona, we'll head to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, located in the mountains of La Albera.
We'll explore this historic example of Catalan Romanesque architecture, discovering its church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, and the Abbot's palace. Our English-speaking guide will provide details about the monastery's history and architecture. You'll appreciate Sant Pere de Rodes and its views over the Gulf of Roses and the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
At around 11 am, we'll explore the wilderness of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. We'll visit Portlligat to enjoy views over the Costa Brava. Cap de Creus is part of an important protected area of natural interest, featuring seaside towns like Port de la Selva, Roses, and Cadaques along its coastlines.
After a half-hour walk in the park, we will travel to Cadaques. Arriving in the picturesque town, you'll have an hour and a half for lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Afterward, we'll reconvene for a guided tour of the historic center of Cadaques, recognized for its exceptional beauty.
Finally, we'll return to Girona at 6 pm.
