Step back in time and discover the region of Girona full of beautiful medieval villages with this Garrocha Day Trip. You'll visit locations including Besalú, Castellfollit de la Roca and Lake Bañolas.

At 9 am we'll meet at the Plaza Sant Feliu de Gerona and head to Besalú, approximately 35 minutes away.

We'll spend two hours exploring the medieval village, guided through its cobbled streets while discovering the history of the old town.

Our next stop will be the Garrocha Natural Park, known for having more than 40 volcanoes. We will also visit a medieval chapel located within the crater of one of these volcanoes.

As we head towards the Santa Margarida volcano, we'll stop at Castellfollit de la Roca, where houses are situated atop a basaltic rock column, overlooking the River Fluvià.

Following the scenic views, we will visit a local restaurant, giving you one and a half hours of free time for lunch.

The tour will proceed to the village of Santa Pau, where we will explore the Santa Maria church and the Castle, notable examples of medieval architecture.

The day will conclude at Lake Bañolas, with a brief walk along the shore to learn more about the area and appreciate the landscape. We will return to Girona at 5 pm.
