By booking a ticket to the Girona Cinema Museum, you'll journey through the history of the silver screen, from its beginnings at the end of the 19th century to its arrival on television. You can learn about milestones in cinematographic history, such as the invention of the cinematograph by the Lumière brothers in 1895. Observe cinematographic equipment from different periods showcasing the evolution of cinema. Do not miss the Tomàs Mallol collection, renowned for its variety and quantity of cinematographic instruments. The museum shares information about the world of cinema in an entertaining way with interactive activities for all audiences and a collection of almost 8,000 objects on display.

Opening Hours

From September to June: Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 am until 6 pm. Sundays and public holidays that fall on Mondays from 10 am to 2 pm.July and August: Mondays to Saturdays from 10 am until 7 pm. Sundays from 10 am until 2 pm.

Last admission is 45 minutes before closing time.

Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month, the 28th of December and the 18th of May.
