By booking a ticket to the Girona Cinema Museum, you'll explore the history of the silver screen from its beginnings at the end of the 19th century to its arrival on television. Discover milestones such as the invention of the cinematograph by the Lumière brothers in 1895, and observe cinematographic equipment from various periods that illustrate the evolution of cinema. Do not miss the Tomàs Mallol collection, known for its extensive variety of cinematographic instruments.

The Cinema Museum shares information about the world of cinema through images and audiovisual shows in an engaging manner. Its interactive activities cater to all audiences and feature a collection of nearly 8,000 objects.

Opening Hours

From September to June: Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm; Sundays and public holidays that fall on Mondays from 10 am to 2 pm.July and August: Mondays to Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm; Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Last admission is 45 minutes before closing time.
