Loch Lomond, The Trossachs & Stirling Castle Day Trip

The tour departs from Glasgow and travels via the Campsie Fells, with the first stop at Loch Lomond. Here, you can enjoy an optional hour-long cruise to view the loch's islands and surrounding mountains or take a stroll in the village of Luss. Afterward, lunch is in the village of Aberfoyle, located in the Trossachs National Park. The park, known as ‘the Highlands in miniature’, is home to Rob Roy MacGregor.

In the early afternoon, the tour continues to Stirling Castle, situated on a volcanic rock. Visitors have time to explore and learn about key figures like William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots. After the visit, the tour returns to Glasgow, arriving around 6 pm.

Important Information

Depending on the time of year, this tour may run in reverse, starting with Stirling Castle and ending with Loch Lomond. The tour does not include entry into Stirling Castle or the Loch Lomond Cruise. It is recommended to bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes, and take sun-block or a hat for sunny days.
