PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, hotel pick-up is at 8:30 am for transport to the diving centre in Nilaveli. The day includes basic theory and equipment fitting before water practice.

In a safe environment, you'll practice techniques such as buoyancy and mask clearing—essential skills for your time at sea.

Days 2 and 3: Open water dives

On the second and third days, you will apply skills learned previously. After hotel pick-up, you'll return to the diving centre, gear up, and take a speedboat to open water.

Over these two days, a total of four dives will be completed to certify you as a scuba diver, allowing you to dive up to 18 metres.

Duration

The course typically lasts three days. If necessary, it can extend to a maximum of five days for theory classes or additional practice.

Hotel pick up

Hotel pick-up is included for locations in Nilaveli. Guests staying elsewhere must go to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.
