PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, pick up from your hotel is at 8:30 am to take you to the diving centre in Nilaveli. The day starts with basic theory before heading to the water.

In a safe environment, you will practice techniques such as buoyancy, mask clearing, and using the regulator, essential for your experience at sea.

Days 2 and 3: Open water dives

On the second and third days, you will apply the skills learned on the first day.

After hotel pickup, you will go to the diving centre, gear up, and take a speedboat to open water.

During these days, you will complete a total of four dives to become a certified scuba diver. Completing all exercises will result in certification to dive up to 18 metres.

Duration

The course typically takes three days. If your stay extends in Nilaveli, you can complete it in a maximum of five days, including in-person theory classes or additional practice days.

Hotel pick up

Pick up is included from hotels in Nilaveli. If staying elsewhere, you must reach Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post independently.
