PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, pick up from your hotel is scheduled for 8:30 am to transport you to the diving centre in Nilaveli. The day will begin with a review of the basic theory before you equip yourself and enter the water.

You will practice techniques such as buoyancy, clearing water from the mask, and handling the regulator in a safe environment.

Days 2 and 3: Open water dives

During the second and third day, we will apply what you've learned on Day 1. After hotel pick up, you will return to the diving centre for equipment fitting and board a speedboat to open water.

These days include a total of four dives to help you become a certified scuba diver. Upon successful completion of all exercises, you will be certified to dive up to 18 metres.

Duration

The average course duration is three days. If you stay longer in Nilaveli, wish to attend theory classes, or need additional time, the course can extend up to a maximum of five days.

Hotel pick up

Hotel pick up is included for those in Nilaveli. For other locations, transportation to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post is required.
