On this Italian immigration tour of Gramado, we will explore the cultural heritage of the Italian settlers.
Italian Culture Tour
We will meet at Praça das Etnias and board a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian bus. During the tour, we will learn about the traditions Italian immigrants brought from Europe.
Our first stop is the Casa Centenária, a wooden cottage that offers historical insights into the Italian immigrant experience. Next, we will visit Ervateira Marcon, where a local will demonstrate the process of making mate herbs.
Following this, we will head to the Fioreze Museum to meet its owner, Mr. Nelson Fioreze, who will present his collection of antique objects.
We will conclude our tour at Caffé Della Nonna, the Foss family's venue, where we will enjoy a snack with typical delicacies such as fresh homemade bread, butter, fruit jam, and cheese, complemented by drinks like coffee, tea, juices, and wine. Traditional live music will accompany our afternoon snack.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, concluding the tour after four hours.
