On this Italian immigration tour of Gramado, we will explore the cultural heritage of the Italian settlers.
Italian Culture Tour
At the scheduled time, we will meet at Praça das Etnias to board a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian bus. Participants will learn about the customs that the Italian immigrants brought from Europe and their preservation over generations.
The first stop will be at Casa Centenária, a wooden cottage showcasing the history of the Italian immigrants. Next, we will visit Ervateira Marcon, where a local will demonstrate the process of making mate herbs.
Following this, we will go to the Fioreze Museum to meet its owner, Mr. Nelson Fioreze, who will present his collection of antique objects.
We will conclude our tour of Italian immigration in Gramado at Caffé Della Nonna, where we will have a snack with typical delicacies, including fresh homemade bread, butter, fruit jam, and cheese, accompanied by coffee, tea, juices, and wine. This experience will be enhanced by live traditional music from the region.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, concluding the tour approximately four hours after starting.
