If you're in Canela, don't miss this hiking tour of the Caracol waterfall. We will hike through the forest and ride an off-roading vehicle to explore remote areas of Rio Grande do Sul.
Tour Details
At the meeting point, the Casa da Vó Ivonne cafeteria, we will explore items connected to German immigration. Then we will board the off-roading vehicle. This adventure leads to Caracol State Park.
Upon arriving at the starting point of the Caracol waterfall hiking trail, we will walk through the forest, observing local plants and wildlife while hearing the sounds of the waterfall and birds.
During the tour, we will discuss Guilherme Wasem, the first German immigrant settler of Caracol State Park in 1863.
We will reach the Caracol waterfall, which drops 131 meters (430 feet) into the Lageana valley. Guests are encouraged to take photos and can enjoy the waterfall from the Infinite Swing, if weather permits.
After lunch, we will return to the off-roading vehicle for the trip back to the meeting point, arriving 4 hours after pickup.
