Offroading + Hiking at the Caracol Waterfall
- 4 Stunden
If you're in Gramado or Canela, don't miss this hiking tour to the Caracol waterfall. Apart from hiking through the lush forest, we'll ride an offroading vehicle to explore the most remote areas of Rio Grande do Sul.
Description
We'll pick you up at the indicated time at the agreed meeting point in the center of Gramado and get into a 4x4 vehicle to start our adventure. Upon arrival at the starting point of the Caracol waterfall hiking trail, we will begin our walk through the forest, observing the local plant and wildlife.
During the tour, we will discuss the German immigrant Guilherme Wasem and his family's settlement in 1863 within Caracol State Park. Finally, we'll reach the Caracol waterfall, which drops from a height of 131 meters (430 feet) into the Lageana valley. Weather permitting, you can swing on the Infinite Swing for a unique view.
After the hike, we will have a picnic at Casa da Vó Ivonne, a historic house where we'll learn about the Wasem family and local German immigrant culture. We will return to the meeting point in the 4x4, arriving 4 hours after pickup.
