Caminito del Rey Day Trip
From the Plaza de las Descalzas in Granada, we'll travel to Malaga province to visit the Caminito del Rey, a breathtaking mountain route in Andalusia. This path was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1921 while crossing a footbridge at 105 meters above the Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes.
The Caminito del Rey reopened to the public in 2015 and has since become one of the most spectacular paths in southern Europe. As we walk along this path built on rock, we will be guided by an expert who will share insights about the surrounding landscapes, as well as the local fauna and flora.
Upon completing the Caminito del Rey route, participants will have 30 minutes of free time to eat or drink. The return journey to Granada will feature views of the Guadalorce and its surroundings.
