Caminito del Rey Day Trip
From the Plaza de las Descalzas in Granada, we'll travel to the province of Malaga to visit one of the most breathtaking mountain routes in Andalusia, the Caminito del Rey.
When King Alfonso XIII inaugurated the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoirs in 1921, he crossed a footbridge situated at 105 metres above the Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes.
The Caminito del Rey (reopened to the public in 2015) is one of the most spectacular paths in southern Europe. Following explanations from an expert guide, we'll contemplate the incredible views of the surrounding landscapes and learn about the local fauna and flora.
Once the route along the Caminito del Rey is finished, you'll have 30 minutes of free time to eat or drink something. Then we'll return to Granada with the views of the Guadalorce and its surroundings.
