Day Trip Overview

At the specified time, we will gather at the designated meeting point to embark on our day trip through the Alpujarra granadina, a region characterized by its unique contrasts, where Berber designs intertwine with the lush greenery of the southern Sierra Nevada foothills.

The adventure kicks off at the Tablate Bridge, a historic landmark that serves as the gateway to this captivating area. Crossing the bridge feels like stepping back into history, embarking on a true journey through time!

As we reminisce about the Reconquista, we will approach Lanjarón, a village renowned for its healing waters. We will traverse through this settlement before delving into the heart of Alpujarra, arriving at the magnificent Poqueira Ravine, where three of the region's treasures await: Pampaneira, Bubión, and Capileira.

Upon reaching Pampaneira, a visit to a traditional chocolate factory is on the agenda, where you will uncover the mysteries of a handcrafted loom and wander its charming cobbled pathways. Enjoy some free time to explore the village, check out local boutiques, and take in the breathtaking ravine vistas. Points of interest include the 16th-century parish church of Santa Cruz, the historic washing areas, and the Federico García Lorca promenade.

Next, we proceed to Pórtugos, stopping at the Fuente Agria and Fuente del Chorreón, famed for their striking reddish ferruginous waters, offering a natural marvel that will surely astonish you!

We will then head to Trevélez, recognized as the highest village in the Alpujarra, where you can sample some of the region’s most celebrated produits, a true treat for your taste buds!

Our final stop will be at Capileira, one of the most picturesque villages in the area. Here, you will have ample time to wander, appreciate its traditional architecture, soak in the splendid views of the Sierra Nevada, and have lunch at your leisure.

At the conclusion of our day, we will return to Granada, sharing farewells at the same meeting point after a memorable 10-hour journey.
