Travel back in time to the age of the Roman Empire on our day trip to the Roman Villa of Salar. You'll visit this little-known archaeological treasure in Granada and learn all about this ancient residence from the 1st century.

Roman Villa of Salar Day Trip

At 11 am, we'll meet in the Plaza de las Descalzas in Granada. We'll hop aboard our minibus for a 45-minute drive to the village of Salar.

Upon arrival, we'll explore one of the most important Roman residences in the Iberian Peninsula. We'll admire key rooms, including the central courtyard, bedrooms, and dining room, and observe the well-preserved Roman mosaics while discussing their significance.

After visiting the Roman Villa of Salar, we'll head to the Visitor Centre to learn more about the history of this residence, which was inhabited between the 1st and 6th centuries and rediscovered in 2004.

You will have 2 hours of free time to explore the village of Salar and enjoy the local cuisine.

We'll then return to our minibus for the return trip, arriving at the starting point by 4 pm.
