Sierra Nevada Offroading Day Trip

The rugged white peaks of Mulhacen and Veleta have captivated travelers for centuries. On this offroading day trip to the Sierra Nevada from Granada, we'll see them up close!

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll depart from Plaza de Mariana Pineda in Granada towards the Sierra Nevada National Park, one of the most beautiful mountainous areas of the Betic Cordilleras.

During the tour, we'll pass by emblematic places such as the Roman gold mine of Cenes de la Vega, the Camino de los Neveros, the banks of the river Genil and the gorge of Los Cahorros del río Monachil. After these sites, we'll arrive at the National Park, spanning the provinces of Granada and Almeria.

Once we arrive, we'll take a tour of Sierra Nevada, combining walking and driving in an offroading vehicle. We'll observe some of the most spectacular elevations, including the Mulhacén and Veleta peaks, and even touch the snow at almost 2,500 meters (8,202 feet). We'll stop at a panoramic restaurant for a drink while enjoying the view.

Throughout our route, we'll learn about the flora and fauna of this natural environment, declared a Biosphere Reserve due to its biodiversity. The landscapes have also been featured in several TV shows, movies, and commercials.

At the end of the tour, you'll have about 2 hours of free time in the ski resort of Sierra Nevada to rest or enjoy the views.

Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Granada, concluding this 7-hour tour.
