The spirit of Mumbai lies not in its landmarks, but in its markets. Explore the city’s magical bazaars on this tour and discover its rich history through the most enchanting streets.

Itinerary

Our English-speaking guide will meet participants at the entrance to the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple in Mumbai. From there, we head to the Bhuleshwar market. Visitors will stroll through narrow streets filled with diverse products: fruit, vegetables, imitation jewellery, religious objects, rose petals, accessories, and household items.

After visiting Bhuleshwar market, we proceed to the Mumba Devi temple, from which the city derives its name. Following a brief history lesson about Mumbai, we will visit the Zaveri Bazaar, known as the largest jewellery market in the region.

Subsequent markets include Chor Bazaar, notable for antiques and furniture; Mangaldas market, renowned for its boutiques offering fine dresses; and Mumbai’s flower market, also known as Flower Alley, which is a sensory delight.

The tour concludes at Crawford Market. Established in 1871 in a distinctive Gothic and Romanesque style building, this market is celebrated for its fruit, vegetables, gourmet cheese, and homemade chocolate. Participants can sample some products before ending the tour.
