The spirit of Mumbai lies not in its landmarks, but in its markets. Explore the city’s magical bazaars on this tour and discover its rich history exploring the most enchanting streets.
Itinerary
Our English-speaking guide will be waiting at the entrance to the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple in Mumbai. We will begin at the Bhuleshwar market. Strolling through the narrow streets, you will find a variety of products: fruit and vegetables, imitation jewellery, religious objects, rose petals, and household products.
Next, we visit the Mumba Devi temple, from which the city got its name. After hearing about Mumbai’s history, we will proceed to Zaveri Bazaar, the largest jewellery market in the region.
Other markets we will visit include the Chor Bazaar, known for antiques and furniture; the Mangaldas market with its boutiques offering fine dresses; and Mumbai’s flower market, also known as Flower Alley.
Our tour concludes at Crawford Market. Established in 1871, this market features a Gothic and Romanesque style building. It is renowned for its fruit and vegetables, cheese, and homemade chocolate.
