Itinerary
The guide will be waiting at the Mahalakshmi temple, one of the most famous in Mumbai. Dedicated to the Goddess of Wealth, it was constructed in 1831 for a Hindu Merchant. Its story introduces this tour highlighting the importance of religions in India.
Next, we will walk through the area known as ‘old Bombay’ until we reach the temple of Trimbakeswar, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the temple of Siddheswar.
The route includes the Shree Swaminarayan temple, which is less touristic, making it a suitable place for meditation.
We will visit the Lord Hanuman and Shani temples, which are located together, with explanations from the guide at this stop.
Continuing along Warden Road, now known as Breach Candy, this street in south Mumbai holds significant spiritual and religious relevance.
The next stop is the Kinara Masjid mosque, an important religious site in the city. The tour concludes at the Haji Ali Dargah, a landmark mosque and tomb located on a small islet off the coast of Worli in south Mumbai, where many devotees honor the Muslim saint Haji Ali.
