The Blue Lagoon is a famous spa built on a plain of solid lava and fed by groundwater rich in numerous minerals. Water from the Blue Lagoon passes through volcanic vents before reaching the surface and is used to drive the turbines at a nearby geothermal station. Clean and at a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius, these turquoise blue waters have become a prominent spa frequented by locals and tourists alike, being one of Iceland's great attractions.

With this ticket, you can enjoy its facilities and relax in an exceptional environment. You'll have access to swimming pools divided into several areas with waterfalls and pressure jets, as well as the saunas and hammam. The Blue Lagoon has separate sites for men and women.

Opening Hours

The Blue Lagoon is open daily from 8 am to 10 pm. Please note the following special hours:

June 1 to August 20: 7 am to midnightAugust 21 to May 31: 8 am to 10 pmDecember 24: 8 am to 4 pmDecember 31: 8 am to 6 pm

You must exit the water 30 minutes before closing time.
