Tour of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque
After picking you up in Guadalajara at the designated time, we will head to the nearby town of Tonalá. You will learn about the history of this town and discover its main monuments, including the Parish of Santiago Apostol? and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Tonalá is recognized as a famous artisan center.
During the tour, you will admire crafted works made with blown glass, ceramics, and iron while walking by its old colonial mansions. We will also visit the street market of Tonalá, frequented by those seeking handicrafts.
Subsequently, we will drive to Tlaquepaque, known for its colonial architecture and quality wood and leather handicrafts. As you stroll through the cobblestone streets and browse craft stalls, you will learn about this municipality founded in 1530.
We will pass by some workshops to observe artisans making their products and learn about their crafts. You will have free time to explore Tlaquepaque at your own pace and have lunch at one of the local restaurants.
After lunch, we will return to Guadalajara, dropping you off at your hotel 6 to 7 hours after pickup.
