Tour of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque
After pickup in Guadalajara at the specified time, we will proceed to the nearby town of Tonalá. The tour includes an overview of the town’s history and visits to notable monuments, including the Parish of Santiago Apostol and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Tonalá is recognized as a significant artisan center.
During the tour, you will observe artisan works made from blown glass, ceramics, and iron while walking among its colonial mansions. We will also visit the street market of Tonalá, frequented by locals seeking handicrafts.
Our next stop will be Tlaquepaque, noted for its colonial architecture and high-quality wood and leather crafts. As we walk through the cobblestone streets and explore the craft stalls, we will learn about the history of this municipality founded in 1530.
We will pass by various workshops to observe artisans at work and gain insight into their crafts. Afterward, you will have free time to explore Tlaquepaque and have lunch at one of the local restaurants.
After lunch, we will return to Guadalajara, with drop-off at your hotel occurring 6 to 7 hours after pickup.
