Granada Geopark Jeep Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Plaza de la Constitución in Guadix where the jeeps will be waiting. We'll begin exploring the mountains and rock formations in the Granada Geopark and the valleys of Alhama and Fardes.
Before leaving Guadix, we'll stop in the cave district to see the dwellings carved out of the clay hills.
We will then head to Purullena to visit the End of the World Viewpoint, located in the Alhama River Valley, which offers views of the Sierra Nevada and the Guadix badlands. We will discuss the location's historical transformation.
Our tour continues to the Marchal Ravine, a natural monument with unique rock formations shaped by erosion.
One of the last stops will be at the Covarrones and Tía Micaela Visitor Centre, which served as a refuge for the Amazighs during the medieval period. We will discuss its history as we explore the cave sections.
Finally, we will return to Guadix while admiring the views of the Fardes River Valley. We will conclude the tour after a total of 4 hours.
